Program Description:
Description
In  our  attempt  to  understand human society and its uniqueness, we will look at the origins of institutionalization and culture; sex and gender as cultural and institutional; the particular role of language or “the symbolic” in the structuring of institutions; informal institutions as culture; we will seek to understand what norms,  values  and  beliefs  are,  and  their  importance;  and  we  will  look  specifically  at  human  rights  in  terms  of  both  culture  and  institutionality.  Evaluations  will  be  frequent  and  strongly  formative  in  design,  reducing  stress and increasing learning.

Thursday 12:00-13:45 (Bogota Time), 12:00-13:45 (New York Time), 18:00-19:45 (Vienna Time).
